A Frigoboat system is comprised of these components

• An aluminum or stainless steel evaporator plate or holding plate
• A compressor / condensing unit with either an electronic controller connected to and installed on the compressor. Compressors may be:
  • Air cooled
  • Water cooled
  • Keel cooled
• Either a mechanical thermostat or a digital thermostat/thermometer

Step 1: Calculate the Area to be Refrigerated

Measure or calculate the cubic volume of the box to be refrigerated and estimate the thickness of the insulation. Using these figures, consult the Selection Guide (chart at left) to determine the size.
